power

wanting something is a very dangerous thing. Those who crave power and get it very often misuse it for evil purposes. I read in biography of George Washingtion that he in fact did not want to have power, did not want to be a president but once he became a president, then he did not want to stay in the function as long as possible but waited till his job was done and moved back to Mount Vernon to keep himself occupied on the field. this is I think the prototype of any man and I think it is very good that this tradition is very much adored, although today politics do not think about ending their careers but rather about prolonging it as much as possible.
