Amo ergo est

In Viktor Frankl´s essay The Will to the Meaning I read this quote which says in my view that the proof of God´s existence is our ontological need to love. By the word love which is overused and misused today I do not mean any infatuation between a heterosexual or homosexual pair but Love as the meaning of our existence, because God is Love and thus God is the meaning and also should be the aim of our existence-Will to the Meaning is a will to get nearer to God. I think it is necessary to get the word love of its popular connotation like infatuation (which of course may lead to love) or love which has nothing to do with Love but is merely a word associated with sexuality or pornography, as some would even say. The word love is the purest of all words because as I said above is basically a synonym for God and the fact that many people associate love with sexuality or even pornography says that many people let themselves be influenced by what society tells them that is right and thus these people are kept in the menagerie of other people´s opinions. Love has to be cleansed by all connotation and we should once again direct our sight up to eternal heights and not down on human perception of love as carnal pleasure.

Morality x religion

I read a quote that true morality is doing what is right withou the vision of either reward or retribution in the future or after death. I cannot agree more. As a practicing catholic I cannot say that I do not believe in heaven and hell, but what i do or do not do according to my conscience is my own choice which is not predetemined by fear or by joy in the future. This should be the true religion for everybody, instead of arguing about which religion is the best(which is never resolvable so why losing time),.we should live according to our conscience and then religion begins to be redundant. I think that what i read in the evangeline, what Jesus said and preached is nothing new in the sense that we as spiritual beings all hage God within our hearts and thus inevitably know(if we open and look into our hearts) what to do.

being independent?

i found my old t-shirt which i had inscribed with ‘Independent’, to show that i am not depending on anybody. I do not say that some people, maybe we all went through a phase of rebellion against anything and everything, usually in the adolscence period. What is immoral about such an inscription? On one hand,we all should be independent, live our own way,do not listen to persuasions of other but follow the dictates of our hearts, but on the other, there is always a certain dependence-either on community or family or on some higher being,on God-here the dependence is inevitable and if one does not accept such dependence but even wears such a sign od rebellion against God on his shirt, then such a behaviour is immoral and despicable. The immorality lies basically in self-damaging features. If one does not accept that his life depends on the always loving will of God,then the one hurts oneself.

reconciliation with one’s body

I used to workout for a year,i used to eat meat and dairy to keep my protein income high but after a year my body refused to accept this amount of food. When i was younger i hated eating meat and was allergic after having drunk milk. It was very difficult for me and still is to accept that i cant train so hard because i cannot eat so much and should not eat animal products. It was immoral from me towards my own body to force it into something unnatural just for my good feelint. When one accept that one can feel good also in accordance with one’s body, then this reconciliation brings an inner peace of mind-much peaceful than when one does things just accreding to one’s ego and by seeking bodily pleasure.

Society today

We live in a society of allpervasive control and surveillance. Government and powers that be want to keep us in a sort of Menagerie. By consumer Style we are kept prisoners of our occupations. the powers-that-be want us to spend our money but most people get as little money as possible to keep the economy running and keep the rich people very rich. Bread and circuses is a saying that resembles today’s society very much. People get enough bread and enough games to keep themselves occupied instead of revolting. when people satisfy their basic biological needs there will be no Revolution . That is the reason why alcohol is so cheap. As long as people have enough to live on and are kept in fear of losing their job but will not get a job which is better paid because then they would become thirsty for more, the few powerful people will remain powerful. It is immoral by those powerful towards the poor to be kept in such a state of Menagerie. The rich people do not want us to be rich because they would have to share power. On the other hand the mass of working people, the proletariat Must be kept in control and satisfied because it is literally and virtually more powerful than the few rich people.the restrictive Services as police and prisons (rsa- in Althussers terms-repressive state apparatus and isa-ideologic state apparatus-schools ) act on behalf of the super rich what would be destroyed if the mass rise up against them. The problem is that the mass media need a coordinator. Unfortunately It is impossible to find an enlightened coordinator, a ruler as Plato suggests and thus most people will spend most of their life in a sort of (un)voluntary Menagerie. Many people voluntarily follow other people. I think it is impossible to trust anyone more than myself and thus trusting anybody implicitly is immoral because I voluntarily deny myself
