Morality x religion

I read a quote that true morality is doing what is right withou the vision of either reward or retribution in the future or after death. I cannot agree more. As a practicing catholic I cannot say that I do not believe in heaven and hell, but what i do or do not do according to my conscience is my own choice which is not predetemined by fear or by joy in the future. This should be the true religion for everybody, instead of arguing about which religion is the best(which is never resolvable so why losing time),.we should live according to our conscience and then religion begins to be redundant. I think that what i read in the evangeline, what Jesus said and preached is nothing new in the sense that we as spiritual beings all hage God within our hearts and thus inevitably know(if we open and look into our hearts) what to do.

being independent?

i found my old t-shirt which i had inscribed with ‘Independent’, to show that i am not depending on anybody. I do not say that some people, maybe we all went through a phase of rebellion against anything and everything, usually in the adolscence period. What is immoral about such an inscription? On one hand,we all should be independent, live our own way,do not listen to persuasions of other but follow the dictates of our hearts, but on the other, there is always a certain dependence-either on community or family or on some higher being,on God-here the dependence is inevitable and if one does not accept such dependence but even wears such a sign od rebellion against God on his shirt, then such a behaviour is immoral and despicable. The immorality lies basically in self-damaging features. If one does not accept that his life depends on the always loving will of God,then the one hurts oneself.

Everyday good

Have you made someone laugh or joyful? do you wait for someone to make you joyful? if you wait so the second option then logically you will never be joyful because should everyone wait no one would act .It’s all about cause and effect. let us not wait for how much we get for what we do,let us be open to do good as the Golden Rule says but let us be better than the Golden Rule and let us not expect anything in return . one does not have to be a believer to know the real reward is not from this world. it comes from the inside of every human. the cause for happiness is only our own choice . if I want to be happy I have to make happy others and I have to be good which is the only source of happiness

Avoid feeling better than others

I was making myself better then others when exhorting about the evil of anticonception in front of my cousin who i know takes it Even though I should love all people. I egotistically sometimes cannot refrain from feeling better than them. I wanted to show that i am better than she because I do not support anticonception. I have a tendency to hate those who think that modern things like anticonception are inventions that help people. I know that I should hate such evil inventions and love the people but I still have a problem with it. I cannot stand their primitive belief that making things easier is good for humans. I know that I am not God and that I do know for sure that anti conception is evil although everything suggests that it is. I know that I should hate despicable Behavior but love the people who behave despicably. It is so difficult for me to love them in their stupidity. When I say to them that their behavior is evil I should always say it with implicit doubt that I may not be right. On the other hand words are absolute in the way that they show us abstractly what is good and what is evil evil. concretely, about concrete people and situations, we can never be sure: those depends on individual conscience. In the abstract level of words everyone with clear and honest conscience must agree that anti conception is an evil invention . we even do not need any medical empirical knowledge that it damages women’s bodies to know that it is evil. Words are enough to reach a consensus about what is good and what is evil . We know that anti conception is pleasurable and makes many things easier but when one reaches ones heart he knows that this approach is an evil one.

Implicit willingness to help

I read in gospel that a woman touched Jesus and was healed moral of the story is this: let us be implicitly open to help other people our opinion about them notwithstanding .Jesus was open to help anybody who needed help and believed. It was not Jesus’s choice to heal that woman. his choice was done much sooner when he said to himself that would help anybody who wanted to be helped. Same should be with us. We should be open to help other people not after we see them, judge them and evaluate them but implicitly even before they ask us. Jesus didn’t know that woman and didn’t intend it to help just that particular woman. He basically did not intended to help her but anybody who wanted to be healthy. He did not make a difference between people. he was open to help anybody and anybody could touch him and be healed. Jesus didn’t need to know that woman in order to help her. We also should not make a difference about helping others .it is natural for us to help those who may in future help us but such behavior is calculating and opportunistic. Jesus also didn’t need to know whom he helped. He basically helped the woman even before she asked him to, this approach should be adapted by everybody. Let us learn to help even though we got nothing in return .
